Las Lucitas comes to an end

It is with great sadness that we have had to make the decision to end our involvement in Loma Grande and the nursery.  There has been a change in community leaders which unfortunately has made our position unworkable.  As of March, we ended our involvement.  We do feel however that the charity has had a positive influence on the community as a whole.  In particular the children who attended the nursery have learnt many life skills to take forward which will be of benefit to them.

The women who worked in the nursery have also stated they feel they have learnt a great deal.  They were in a role that was very much respected by the community and have undertaken training and been involved in experiences that have been of value to them.  We hope they can use this to continue to support the children of Loma Grande.
